The Steps for How to Make the Easy Angel Crafts: Paper Strips Angel Ornament:

Mark and cut four strips of paper 1-inch wide.

Cut one strip 12 inches long, two strips 8 inches long and one strip 4 inches long.

If your paper is 8 1/2 by 11 inches, just make the longest strip 11 inches long.

Cut one circle 1 to 1 1/2 inches in diameter. This example uses a 1-inch diameter circle.

Paper Strips Angel Ornament step 1 cut shapes

Punch holes in both ends of each strip. The holes should be centered across the width and roughly 1/4-inch from the end of the strip.

No need to be exact - guessing works fine.

Paper Strips Angel Ornament step 2 punch holes in strips

Fold the 12-inch strip 3/4-inch from each end.

Use gentle folds rather than firmly creased folds.

Fold again at 3 3/4 inches from each end (or 3 inches from the first fold).

Paper Strips Angel Ornament step 3 bend 12 inch strip

Fold the 8-inch strips at the 3-inch point from each end.

Paper Strips Angel Ornament step 4 bend 8 inch strips

Match the holes in the 12-inch paper strip.

Layer the two 8-inch strips with their holes matched on top of the 12-inch strip.

Gently curve the 4-inch strip overlapping its holes and match those holes over the others.

Here's where the binder clip helps hold the shapes together.

Caution - be careful not to crease the paper strips angel ornament's head, here and in the later steps.

Paper Strips Angel Ornament step 5 match holes

Push the 8-inch length of yarn through the angel's head.

Wrap the yarn around the layers and thread the two ends up through the matched holes.

Wrap the two ends back around the layers.

Pull the yarn ends firmly, hold them snugly, and tie a knot.

See the sketch in the picture's lower left.

Paper Strips Angel Ornament step 6 insert yarn

Trim the ends of the yarn.

Paper Strips Angel Ornament step 7 tie knot and trim ends

Punch two holes in the top of the angel's head and two holes in the circle for the halo.

Paper Strips Angel Ornament step 8 punch holes for halo

Thread the ends of the 10-inch piece of yarn through the two holes in the angel's head.

Paper Strips Angel Ornament step 9 insert yarn through head

Tie a knot in the yarn just above the angel's head but not so close that the paper is stressed.

This knot holds the halo above the angel's head.

Thread the yarn ends through the holes in the halo.

Paper Strips Angel Ornament step 10 tie knot then insert through halo

Tie a knot just above the halo.

This knot keeps the halo from sliding upward.

Tie a second knot in the ends of the yarn. This knot forms the hanging loop.

Trim the ends of the yarn, if desired.

The result is a fun and easy little paper strips angel ornament that adds happiness and a smile.
