• One chenille wire 12 inches long
• Piece of yarn (or heavy thread) 10 inches long
• One round or slightly oblong bead 3/8 to 1/2 inch in diameter
• One button 3/8 to 1/2 inch in diameter
• Ruler
• Scissors

Cut the 10 inch length of yarn. (We used size 10 crochet yarn.)

Make a bend in the wire 5 1/8 inches from one end.

Make the second bend in the chenille wire 5 1/8 inches from the opposite end. The result will be a U-shape with a base 1 7/8 inches wide.

The next bend is made 2 1/4 inches from one of the ends.

From the opposite end, make another bend in the chenille wire is 2 1/4 inches from the end. The result is a loose loop.
