Let's look at the materials and the steps for how to make the yarn angel:
Easy Angel Crafts: Yarn Angel Materials and Tools:
- White (or color of your choice) yarn, size 10, 100 to 150 feet long
- Gold yarn 3 to 4 feet
- Card stock 2 inches by 4 inches
- Ribbon, 1 1/2 inches wide by 8 inches long (wired holds shape better)
- Ruler
- Scissors

The Steps for How to Make the Easy Angel Crafts: Yarn Angel:
Cut the card stock to 2 inches wide by 4 inches long. You can substitute anything that will be sturdy enough to
wrap the yarn around many times.
Cut the ribbon six to eight inches long - six inches for shorter wings, eight inches for longer wings.
Wrap the white yarn lengthwise around the card stock 200 times. Cut the last revolution even with the
end of the card stock.

Insert the gold yarn through the middle of the white loops of yarn at one end of the card stock. (Need 10 to 12
inches of gold yarn for the end.)

Wrap the gold yarn several times through the white loops, pull firmly and tie a square knot to hold the
white yarn together. This also forms the angel's halo.

Tie the ends of the gold yarn together to form a hanging loop. Trim the ends of the gold yarn.

Cut the yarn loops at the end opposite the tied gold yarn. Leave the card stock in place to keep the yarn
separated in half.

Form a circle with the ribbon and overlap the ends by 1/3 to 3/4 inch. Fold the circle in half with the
overlapped ends in the middle.

On one side, place the folded ribbon between the yarn and the card stock.

Remove the card stock. Cut a piece of gold yarn 24 inches long.

Wrap the gold yarn around all of the white yarn above the folded ribbon to form the head and neck of the angel.
Wrap several times pulling firmly and tie with a square knot on the back of the Easy Angel Crafts Yarn Angel. (The
back is where the ribbon's ends overlap under the white yarn.)

Separate the white yarn on the back roughly in half. Pull the gold yarn to the center.

Wrap the gold yarn around the ribbon and pull loosely. Tie a square knot in the gold yarn.

Pull the ends of the gold yarn to each side of the Easy Angel Crafts Yarn Angel.

Pull the two back sections of white yarn together and position over the ribbon and gold yarn.

Wrap the gold yarn around all of the white yarn just below the ribbon. Wrap several times pulling the yarn
snugly each time. Finish wrapping on the front of the Easy Angel Crafts Yarn Angel, pull the gold yarn firmly and
tie with a square knot.

Trim the ends of the gold yarn to form the Easy Angel Crafts Yarn Angel's golden belt.

Your Easy Angel Crafts Yarn Angel is ready to hang on the tree, a doorknob, a drawer pull or wherever an angel
is needed.

The uneven yarns at the bottom of the Easy Angel Crafts Yarn Angel imply movement, but if you prefer, you can
trim the white yarn evenly across the bottom (see the next angel).
As an alternative, the next Easy Angel Crafts Yarn Angel used only 150 revolutions around the card stock to form
a slimmer angel. The gold ribbon is narrow (1/2 inch) with three pieces used to make the wings. This angel also has
the bottom yarns cut straight across.

Other colors are pretty too. This Easy Angel Crafts Yarn Angel was made with blue yarn for the body; silver yarn
for the hanging loop, neck, waist and belt; and a shiny blue and pink ribbon for the wings.

The Easy Angel Crafts Yarn Angels make great projects to enjoy any time of the year both for children and
for adults.
Have fun!
Simple, yet pretty, these Easy Angel Crafts Yarn Angels provide pleasure whether they are made for decorations,
