The Steps for How to Make the Easy Christmas Crafts: Ribbon Circles Ornament:
Measure and cut the ribbon to 14 inches in length. Measure and cut the thread or yarn to 10 inches in
length.
Thread the needle with the thread or yarn.
The ribbon can be either cloth ribbon (grosgrain was used here) or the ribbon can be Christmas ribbon (examples
below). Some ribbons - both cloth and package - are too soft. The ribbon needs to hold its shape in the
circles.
Starting at one end of the ribbon, make a small circle slightly larger than around your forefinger. (Note: the
clip and scissors shown in the picture were for photography. Your fingers will hold the circles together.)

Holding the first circle in place, wrap the ribbon to make the medium circle.
Holding the first two circles, make the last and largest circle by wrapping the ribbon around to overlap the
beginning of the ribbon. Adjust the three circles to make them the sizes you prefer.

With the needle and thread, sew a single stitch through all the layers of ribbon making sure both ends of the
ribbon are in the stitch.

Tie a knot in the thread (yarn) near the ribbon.

Make a loop by tying a knot in the ends of the thread (yarn). Trim the ends of the thread (yarn).

hanger.

The next Easy Christmas Crafts Ribbon Circles Ornament was also made with grosgrain ribbon. This
ribbon was much wider at 1 3/8 inches. Its width adds extra weight to the circles and makes it more elliptical than
circular, but it's still simple and pretty.

The red version of the Easy Christmas Crafts Ribbon Circles Ornament is also made with grosgrain
ribbon at 7/8 inch wide. Several of these on a green tree would add pretty contrasting decorations.

The next Easy Christmas Crafts Ribbon Circles Ornament was made using Christmas package ribbon. One
side is a shiny blue with the reverse being a dull, lighter blue. The two different colors provide additional
interest in the ornament.
This ribbon is 3/8 inch wide. One caution when using a non-cloth ribbon, be careful with the needle
and thread. If you place the stitch too close to the end of the ribbon, it may split. Make the stitch at least 1/2
inch from the ends of the ribbon.

In this picture the purple and pale green Easy Christmas Crafts Ribbon Circles Ornament were also
made using Christmas ribbon.
