Easy Christmas Crafts: Snow Angel Materials and Tools:

• One 12 inch chenille wire in white (or color of your choice)
• One 9 inch piece of yarn or ribbon
• Ruler to measure ribbon
• Scissors to cut the ribbon
• Needle nose pliers (not really needed, but makes it easier on the fingers)

Take a look at the simple materials shown here. One piece of chenille wire (otherwise known as a pipe cleaner) and a short length of ribbon approximately nine inches are all that is needed to make this Easy Christmas Crafts Snow Angel ornament. 

The Steps for How to Make the Easy Christmas Crafts: Snow Angel:

First, make a bend in the chenille wire at the middle. This is easy to do. Just wrap the wire around your forefinger and match the ends. 

Make a small circle for the head by twisting the two wires together a couple of turns. You can use a pencil or the tip of your little finger to size the circle. 

The twist point becomes the neck of the snow angel.

Position the two ends of the wire together to make a symmetrical shape as you form the bends in the wires.

Make a bend in the wires from 3/8 to 1/2 inch from the twist point that is the neck. This bend forms the shoulders of the snow angel. 

Make the top of the Easy Christmas Crafts Snow Angel's wings by bending the wires roughly one inch from the shoulder bend. 

Next, form the bottom of the snow angel's wings by bending the wires from 1 3/8 to 1 1/2 inches from the tip of the wings. 

The next bend should be 1 1/8 from the base of the wings to form the leg portion of the Easy Christmas Crafts Snow Angel's robe. 

Twist the ends of the two wires together to complete the shape. 

Open the wires to form the Easy Christmas Crafts Snow Angel shape. At the joint, flatten the ends of the wire to keep the points from pricking fingers.

The next step is optional if you prefer a less rounded and more defined shape.

Pinch the tip of each wing, the point under each wing and the point at the bottom and sides of the robe. This sharpens the bends in the wires to make a more pointed shape. 

To finish your Easy Christmas Crafts Snow Angel, add a loop of ribbon (or yarn) to the top in order to hang your ornament on the tree.

This version also uses yarn rather than the ribbon for the hanging loop.
