Measure and cut a 12-inch length of the 22 gauge wire. (Or, use a chenille wire that is 12 inches long.) 

With the tip end of the needle nose pliers, make a small loop in one end of the wire. Crimp the loop closed and twist it to be perpendicular to the rest of the wire. 

Select the beads for the wire and line them up in the order to be added to the wire. Our pattern, working from right to left is two green, one red, one gold, one silver, one gold, one blue.

Thread the first bead on the wire to make sure the end loop in the wire will stop the beads from falling off. Some beads, such as tri-beads, require a larger loop on the end of the wire. 

Add the remaining beads to the wire in the order determined earlier. 

Using the tip of the needle nose pliers, make a loop in the wire to hold the beads.

Measure and cut the 1/4 inch wide ribbon from 8 to 9 inches long. 

Thread one end of the ribbon through the loop in the wire. Pull until the ends are even. Tie a knot in the ribbon ends to form a loop. Trim the ends of the ribbon at an angle. 

Fold the accent bead up, away from the other beads. Wrap the remaining beads on the wire into a tight spiral. 

Pulling up on the ribbon and accent bead, separate the spirals.
